I came across something really......odd recently. A friend of mine was eyeball deep in a Facebook game and kept insisting, as I sat across the living room from her, that I log in with my laptop and accept her request to join the game. I couldn't help but think that I would rather have a conversation with her being that she was sitting right in front of me. I think perhaps that Facebook has become less of a social network and more of a social distraction. Do me a favor. If you are ever in this situation please remember this post and rather than try to convince your live friend to be your digital friend, have a talk with your actual friend. Here are some conversation starters.
Why do some people feel that John Stewart, Bill Maher and Seth McFarlane are credible sources for information?
Why are so many of those who voted for B.H.O. so mad about what he is doing? It's not like be hid what he was. Sure he dances around the questions or just plain lies but at least he is horrible at covering his tracks.
Can TV really elect a president so long as the Facebook, Myspace and Twitter campaigns are all on point?Talk to your friends.
You will get much more enjoyment out of the interaction.
From this side of the other side of the universe.
Peace and Love,
M.
