When is Enough, Enough?

So,………

Here we are.  18 months after the historic election of America’s first almost-black president and things are changing, just like he said they would.  Lets review what has been happening over the last year and a half.  While doing so I think it important to remember the words of former President Ronald Reagan.  “Are we better off now than we were before the election?”

-Government run health care has passed that includes a mandate to all citizens coercing us into purchasing a service that we many not need or want or suffer confiscatory taxation.

-Almost $1 trillion dollars has been spent on stimulating the economy and “saving” jobs yet unemployment is still 9.7% and private businesses are hoarding cash in preparation for the ensuing line of legislation that will regulate energy usage consequently stifling expansion and job growth.

-Global warming has been renamed yet again (Climate Change) and is still being touted as a generational catastrophe by the same people who were screaming about a coming ice age in the 1960’s/1970’s.

-Students are being told that logical and fact based dissent is neither appreciated  nor appropriate in classes taught at public universities.

-North Korea has test fired ICBMs, however unsuccessfully, and has proactively begun the process of conferring power from Kim Jong-Il to his son Kim Jong-un through the administration of military orders that lead to the sinking of a South Korean naval vessel in neutral territory.

-Iran is currently working on procuring and processing the raw materials need to create nuclear energy yet they have done little to develop the technology necessary to deliver that energy to its citizens as was it’s stated purpose for pursuing the nuclear option.  Yet they continue to work with countries openly hostile to the US who either have the technology to weaponize or are seeking the technology to weaponize nuclear material.  Meanwhile 75% +/- of the population of Iran is still illiterate.   Oh, and don’t forget the riots after the “election” of Mahmoud that were quelled by way of force authorized by Mahmoud and executed by the IRG.

-Rod Blagojevich has named specific members of Obama's administration, i.e. Raum Emanuel among others, in a fraud case levied against him in Chicago for trying to sell Barak Hussein Obama’s senate seat over the phone.  Rep. Joe Sestak confirmed on more than one occasion that he was offered a job with the White House should he choose to drop out his senate race against Sen. Arlen Specter.  Similarly Andrew Romanoff was made an offer for his cooperation concerning his race in Colorado.  The White House, as of yet, has not expressly denied these charges.  In fact, if you haven’t seen Gibby’s response to a line of questioning from famed journalist and White House reporter Les Kinsolving regarding this issue, you should look it up.  Talk about someone being visibly uncomfortable.  It is extremely telling and wildly entertaining.

- Barak Hussein Obama has openly expressed a willingness to meet with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad barring all pre-condition in an attempt to figure out what Mahmoud wants in relation to concessions made by allied nations, yet he declined to speak with AZ Governor Jan Brewer until sufficient pressure was brought to bare by way of public opinion, because she signed a law that mirrored pre-existing federal laws with the key addition of further protections for citizens against the misuse of the law as it being enforced.  Likewise it took him 58 days to setup a meeting with Tony Hayward, BP CEO, to discuss the giant hole in the Gulf of Mexico that is still spewing oil.  He even went so far as to order the stoppage of cleanup efforts initiated by BP due to a lack of fire extinguishers and life jackets.

-Benyamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, has been snubbed by our government creating the first of two international scandals involving Israel the second of which was brought about by American citizens aiding Turkish Muslims in breaking through an internationally recognized blockade setup to protect Israel’s sovereignty.   You will never guess who was at the helm of this little operation but don’t worry because I am about to tell you.  William Ayers and Bernadine Dorn.  That’s right.  The American terrorists who openly mocked the US Judicial process after being acquitted of their crimes based on a technicality and who have stated that more violence should have been perpetrated in the interest of “overthrowing the United States Government.”

-HR 5175, although it has lost steam, was on the docket to be passed by the House in an attempt to silence private campaign contributors that are critical of the administration by offering key disclosure exemptions to certain groups should they refrain from engaging in dissent during the run-up to this Novembers elections.

-Now there is talk of resurrecting Cap and Trade legislation under the new banner of the American Power Act.  And no one seems to be discussing the fact that those who hold the patents for the system of trading energy as a commodity are the same people that bankrupted Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Look into Franklin Raines’ involvement in this matter and let me know what you find.  Let us not also forget what will happen to energy costs in this country should this legislation take hold.  And I quote, “Energy costs will necessarily skyrocket.”  Remember who said that……..

Don’t worry, I’ll wait………….

No……….

Barak Hussein Obama

And in case you don’t pay much attention to the markets Fannie and Freddie collectively own 95% of mortgages in the US and both companies are worth less than one dollar per share from highs of $50+/- per share 36 months ago.

-Transparency has been at an all time low along with approval ratings for the federal government in general.

-The Federal government has been willfully blind to the desire of the American people with regard to healthcare, energy, immigration, taxes etc…

Not since the Civil Rights Movement have we as a country been more divided along party lines.  The blind allegiance to partisans and ideologues or a desire to be on the “right side of history” have resulted in a society where our friends have become our enemies, the logical has become illogical, and the concept of equality has been replaced by that of social justice which is best served by the expansion of government and the contraction of liberties afforded us by, as the founders put it, our Creator.  God is bad and secular self-reliance is politically chic,  speech is no longer free and acceptance of the status quo -that the individual citizen is not smart enough to make decisions about their own wellbeing- is the only legitimate truth.

All to often have I encountered persons who would make blanket assumptions about those with whom they disagree based on a third party analysis of someone else's words.  Were it not for the fact that assumer willfully admits that they have not directly heard or read the words first hand this wouldn’t be such an issue but to make a statement about a statement where firsthand knowledge of the statement is non-existent is not only foolish but a symptom of the systemic removal of common sense from American life.
